DeBeer Trial Sets Off Chain Reaction Delays

The trial of Brian DeBeer in Ontario County court on charges of hindering prosecution has set off a chain reaction of delays in other cases. DeBeer is accused of helping his wife Stacey DeBeer bury the body of one of their infant children in a five gallon bucket filled with concrete. The jury is deliberating in the case this afternoon. Meanwhile, the sentencing of 28 year old Sherry Dreier on manslaughter charges in Wayne County was postponed. Dreier pleaded guilty in connection with an auto accident that killed her two daughters and one of their friends. A hearing on suppressing evidence in the case of accused killer Lamond McKoy was also postponed. In both cases, attornies involved were also involved in the DeBeer trial.
