Seneca Supervisors Void Vehicle Contract

Seneca County Supervisors-meeting in special session last night-cancelled the county’s vehicle maintenance contract with Perferred Auto of Seneca Falls. The action follows an internal county investigation and a state police investigation into alleged bid collusion between county Manager Keith Ashby and Perferred Auto owner John Studwell. Seneca Falls businessman Jim Stevers alleges that the two men illegally agreed on a one-year contract extension which Perferred Auto had for several years-without completing the bidding process. Stevers and his sons own a garage and towing service in Seneca Falls.
