Man-Black-5’10”-175lbs Robs Geneva Bank

Geneva police have released a description of the suspect in Tuesday morning’s robbery of the National Bank of Geneva office in the Geneva Center on Hamilton Street. The suspect is a black man, five-foot-ten and 175 pounds, with short hair. He was wearing a blue hat, dark shirt, jeans and sneakers and carrying a black bag with a strap over his shoulder. The man entered the bank just before 9:30 and passed a note to a teller. The note said the man had a weapon, but no weapon was displayed. Police have not said how much money was taken. He was last seen running south toward White Springs Road. Ontario County Sheriff’s Department K9 units and a helicopter were called in to try to track the suspect. Police tell the Finger Lakes News Network a Composite Sketch of the suspect will be released later today. Anyone with information should call Geneva police at 789-1111.
