Geneva Teen’s Indictments To Be Handed Down Thursday

16-year old Lamon McKoy is the Geneva teeanger that police believe killed both Ashley Vincent and his own cousin Monique McKoy. He has not yet been charged and is being held in Monroe County on unrelated felony charges.Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo says the sealed indictment will be made public Thursday at 2pm at the Ontario County Courthouse in Canandaigua.The Finger Lakes Times reports today that DNA tests revealed Lamon’s semen was found in both girls.Both Lamon’s parents say their son is not guilty.Lamon’s mother, Nelsina Herring and his father, John Whitfield have told area media their son could not have committed the murders.Lamon has police record, but its sealed because if his age. He has been suspended from both the Geneva middle and high schools. Friends and acquaintances say he has a temper and is full of rage.14-year old Ashley Vincent disappeared in December, her body was found near her home in March. She was sitting upright and covered with roof shingles behind a dumpster near her Patterson Avenue home. 18-year old Monique McKoy was found in a bed following an apartment fire in dowtown Geneva.
