Bass Pro is the big fish in the local retail market. The new store in the Finger Lakes Mall continues it record-breaking sales streak, as last Saturday was more people shopped at the store than any day during it’s grand opening earlier this month. Bass Pro officials will not disclose sales or shopper numbers, but store manager Greg Bulkley says they’ve ordered extra stock to keep up with customer demand and have hired an additional 15 to 20 full-and-part time people bringing the number of employees to 270.The Auburn store had more people at its grand opening four day celebration than any other store opening in the last four years.
