Stanley Teen Escapes Burning Car

A Stanley teen suffered only minor injuries after escaping a burning wreck Monday afternoon. Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies say 18 year old Molly Martin’s car slid off Route 245 into a ditch. The car hit a utility pole and burst into flames. Martin told the Daily Messenger, quote – I had to throw myself out of the car. Nearby residents helped until the Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance and Stanley Fire Department arrived. Deputies blame driver inattention for the crash, but no tickets were issued.
