Continuing his efforts to provide protections to localchildren, New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) today announced the availability of the Child Safety Identification booklet on his Web site, www.senatornozzolio.com. The Child Safety Identification booklet provides parents with an easier and safer way to collect and store important information to protect their children.Specifically, the booklet includes a place to record fingerprints, dental records, and other characteristics that can serve as the private documentation of a child’s personal profile.“In 2002, over 20,000 children were reported missing in New York State,” Senator Nozzolio said. “With the implementation of the “Amber Alert” child abduction response plan system at the end of last year, New York State now has better resources than ever to locate missing children. The Child Safety Identification packet can give authorities the critical profile information needed to help find a child and return them home safely and quickly. I encourage any resident who has a child or is the guardian of a child to obtain one of these booklets.”Senator Nozzolio’s Web site also includes recent news releases, columns, his cable news program, a photo gallery, brochures, and other helpful information for constituents.
