HWS-Ranks In Top Liberal Arts Colleges

Moving steadily upward over the past three years, Hobart and William Smith Colleges were ranked 70th among the best liberal arts colleges in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report. This year, the magazine eliminated the use of the “Tier Two” designation and numerically ranked the top 123 colleges. Hobart and William Smith were the only liberal arts college in the region to be numerically ranked. In addition, the Colleges have been named one of the “Best Northeast Colleges: 135 Great Schools to Consider” by the Princeton Review, who also named HWS in its ”The Princeton Review’s The Best 351 Colleges: The Smart Student’s Guide to Colleges.” High marks were also given by “The Unofficial, Unbiased Guide to the 328 Most Interesting Colleges” published by Kaplan; and by the “Fiske Guide to Colleges.”
